Terms
Short version: be reasonable, pay for what you sign up to, and remember AI answers can be wrong. Last updated: 30 September 2026.
Who can use it
You must be 13 or over to use Dapple, and if you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before buying a paid plan. We may close an account we think belongs to someone under 13. You can try Dapple as a guest or sign up with an email address, which moves your guest chats onto the account. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens on your account.
The service
Dapple is an AI chat assistant, and part of the revenue funds tree planting as set out on the impact page. Its answers come from a machine and can be wrong, out of date or incomplete. They are not professional advice on health, law or money, so check before you act on them.
Fair use
Daily limits stop one person using the budget that funds everyone's trees. Don't try to get round them, overload the service, reach other people's data, or use Dapple to break the law or harm anyone. We can suspend accounts that do.
Paying
Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe at the price shown at checkout. Cancel any time and you keep access until the end of the month you paid for. Your legal consumer rights, including the 14-day cancellation right where it applies, still stand.
The planting promise
Dapple gives 15% of every paid subscription to fund trees through Tree-Nation. This is a donation from Dapple's revenue, not a charge on top of your subscription, and free use does not add to it. Once a month we place one order for the previous month's pool and publish it, with its certificate, on the impact page, which is the authoritative record of what has been funded and reported planted. Using Dapple is not carbon neutral, and funded trees are not carbon offsets. We claim neither.
Your content
Your chats are yours. You let us store them, send them to the AI provider named on the impact page to get replies, and show them back to you. We don't publish or sell them.
Liability
Dapple is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses from relying on an answer or from the service being down. This doesn't limit liability the law says we can't limit, or your consumer rights.
Changes and law
If we change these terms, the date at the top changes and we flag big changes in the app; using Dapple afterwards means the new terms apply. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to the courts there, unless consumer law where you live gives you protections that can't be taken away.
